Hair is made of keratin proteins arranged in three main bonds:
• Hydrogen bonds (weak, broken by water/heat)
• Salt bonds (weak, affected by pH changes)
• Disulfide bonds (strong, determine curl pattern)
Nanoplasty works by softening and rearranging disulfide bonds through acidic amino acid action — not by permanently breaking them like a chemical relaxer.
Process in simple science terms:
1. Opening the cuticle: Heat and low-pH amino acids swell the cuticle slightly, allowing nano-sized actives to enter the cortex.
2. Bond realignment: Glyoxylic acid and amino acids react with the keratin structure when heat is applied, reorganising disulfide bonds into a straighter alignment.
3. Cross-linking: The heat (from flat ironing at) helps the amino acids create new hydrogen and ionic bonds in the straighter shape.
4. Cuticle sealing: Plant oils + keratin smooths down the cuticle, locking in the new alignment and giving that glossy finish.
1. No pre-wash in salon necessary (come with clean, dry hair).
2. Formula is applied evenly throughout the hair.
3. Processing Time: 40 - 90 minutes, depending on texture/density.
4. Hair is rinsed with water, then fully blow-dried.
5. The treatment is sealed into the hair with a flat iron to lock in the results.
Our formula uses organic acids to deeply penetrate the hair cortex.
Its composition includes a mix of organic acids, amino acids, botanical extracts, and Vegequat® (a plant-based protein complex) that hydrates and rebuilds hair while protecting it.
It's free from harsh agents like formaldehyde, thioglycolate, and hydroxide.
Why 'nano'? The proteins and active ingredients are broken down into nanoparticles (extremely small molecules) so they can penetrate deep into the hair shaft rather than just coating the outside.
